The diversity of filament materials opens a new horizons for creative minds. In automobile, aerospace and other precision-driven industries, 3D printing has already acquired a firm footing in their R&D. In many cases, parts and accessories are already manufactured and used in the market. On the medical front, patients requiring dental and various implants may well be the receiving ends of this technology in the offing. Whatever their interests – from the most mundane to the funkiest, they are one of the strongest forces that stretch boundaries, thanks to the open source platforms they help create. In return, the combined forces of individuals and groups enable the cross-fertilization of ideas. As such, we are yet to see bigger bangs on the potentials and applications of 3D printing technology.
