Well Link works with different associations and institutions to organize Beginning & Advanced Level training courses at Well Link Studio or classrooms prepared by our partners every month. Students gradually develop their 3D drawing skills using computer software from basic drawing tools to technical and complex CAD drawing software. During the practice of 3D CAD drawing, Well Link tutors assist students to identify design flaws in 3D modelling and encourage them to learn while making corrections. Students from out classes will become knowledgeable in the process of 3D drawing and understand how to create designs that are printable by 3D printers. The completed models will be printed out by our Wexler 3D printer. Training courses cover the introduction of 3D printing technology and the training of 3D drawing, modelling and printing skills. Our principle is to provide informational, practicable, inspirational and innovative classes that can strengthen students’ stereoscopic thinking and analytical skills and prepare them for future development of various design industries.

Well Link organizes workshops at Well Link Studio during different festivals. Participants can learn about the nature of 3D printing technology, how to design & make a 3D model, and how to build the 3D model with a 3D printer. During the 90-min workshop, Well Link tutors assist the participants to create a Personally Designed 3D key tag and other 3D models full of festival spirits. Successfully drawn 3D models will be printed out by our Wexler 3D printer. By allowing participants to take their first step into the world of 3D printing, this workshop is not only educational but also helpful in boosting our participants’ creativity and passion for different types of design.

Hong Kong Fashion Week – YDC Designer Workshop (3D Printing X Fashion Design) 
Sponsored HK Young Fashion Designer – Nelson Leung (NelsonBlackle – FW2015/16 Collection) 

Well Link partnered with HK Fashion Designer -Nelson Leung in NelsonBlackle FW2015/16 Collection. Nelson was the final winner of YDC 2014 and he predicted that 3D printing would help shape the future of the fashion industry. In the FW2015/16 Collection, we applied our technology and 3D-printed the designer’s specially designed buttons, accessories & decorations for his FW2015/16 Collection. Well Link also worked with Nelson in YDC Designer Workshop and introduced how 3D printing can crossover into the art of fashion design.

HKTDC Inno Design Tech Expo 2014  
3D Drawing & Printing Workshop – 90mins to become a 3D Printing Designer

Well Link was invited by HKTDC to hold a workshop during the Inno Design Tech Expo 2014. The 90-min workshop included an introduction of the 3D printing technology and simple 3D drawing tools , a demonstration of 3D design, modelling, slicing, and the printing process of a desktop 3D Printer. Participants who joined the workshop were also given the opportunity to design and draw a personal 3D key tag with the assistance of Well Link tutors. Successful 3D models were printed out with our Wexler 3D printer.

Private Comity Project   
3D Model Design & 3D Printing of Badges 

Well Link was invited by a private comity to 3D-print a set of group badges. The products were developed from 2D graphics into 3D designed models and printed out with 3D printers. The badges were tailor-made in different colors and produced in a small quantity at an affordable cost.

保良局何壽南小學
Summer Course – 3D Drawing & Printing

In 2014, Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Sau Nan Primary School purchased a 3D Dual-Extruder Printer and joined us in our training course to learn the required skills to draw and build a new campus model which would be located at the Kai Tai developmental area in 2015. We specifically personalized a training course to teach their students how to use basic 3D drawing tools, modeling techniques, and the 3D printing skills.

Based on the 2D construction print provided by the school, we divided the entire campus model into 140 parts, and students were able to add their creative ideas into the drawing and designs of their new school campus model. We saw a tremendous growth in the students’ learning efficiency and they became more aesthetic and creative. The schools were also happt to see great team building skills and trust among each other demonstrated by their students.

3D Drawing & Printing Workshop

Pui Yin Education Center and Well Link launched a 3D Drawing & Printing Workshop where children learned about the application and functionality of 3D printing technology through a demonstration of simple 3D drawing and printing. Aimed to raise children’s interest in 3D printing, the workshop also provided 3D products for coloring and assembling. Every participant received a 3D printed personalized name tag as a gift.
